MICHAEL VAN DER HAM
Michael van der Ham is a fashion designer from the Netherlands. He graduated from Central Saint Martins with a Fashion MA and worked at Sophia Kokosalaki and Alexander McQueen. In 2009, he started his own womenswear label known for his design signature of fabric, texture, and color collages, which earned him both Fashion East and NewGen sponsorship. He won the British Fashion Council’s Fashion Forward prize in 2013.
Retailers including Liberty, Harvey Nichols, Ikram, and Net A Porter stock his collections. He has collaborated with Topshop and Brora and designed costumes for Björk, Tori Amos, and the 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremony.
Van der Ham’s womenswear collections are highly regarded and he has been recognized for his innovative designs. Despite not showing at London Fashion Week since 2015, he continues to make an impact in the industry. In fact, he teamed up with Sophia Webster to design dresses for S/S 18, showcasing his talent and creativity once again.
